    With playoff teams taking the field up to 60 times in a season, it shouldn't be any surprise that a team from Alabama tops the list of high school softball teams with the most runs scored in 2025. In fact, the Yellowhammer State has 10 teams on the list. With a record of 47-7-1, Springville leads four Alabama teams with over 500 runs at 529. The Tigers had 30 games with 10 or more runs, but ironically they never scored over 20 runs.

    For the second time in three years, IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) holds the title of national champion after finishing No. 1 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 high school baseball rankings of the 2025 season. Undefeated (25-0) and crowned national champions in 2023, the Ascenders came up one win short of doing the same in 2025, finishing 24-1. Despite not participating in the postseason, IMG Academy had the fifth-strongest schedule in the nation based on the MaxPreps computer ratings.

The five-star senior as one of the most feared defenders in the country after a record-setting three-year stretch. Atkinson was named the MaxPreps National Junior of the Year in 2024 after posting 166 tackles, 32 tackles for loss and 13 sacks, helping lead Grayson to its first Georgia Class 7A state championship since 2020.
