Businesses and neighbors of a $1.25 billion plan by Hackman Capital Partners to redevelop Television City in the Fairfax Historic District want to turn the dial. Nine businesses and community groups have appealed the TVC 2050 plan by the Culver City-based investor to revamp the 25-acre landmark production complex once known as CBS Television City at 7800 Beverly Boulevard, the Los Angeles Business Journal reported.

Mayor Eric Adams and the City Council reached a budget agreement that adds $2 billion in housing funding over two years to the mayor’s initial proposal. The mayor and City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams announced the handshake agreement for the $112.4 billion spending plan on Friday, just two days ahead of the deadline. The agreement includes $1.3 billion in additional funding for the Department of Housing Preservation and Development for fiscal years 2025 and 2026.

Cityview has picked up a 130-unit apartment complex in Dublin for $46 million, 16 percent less than what it traded for seven years ago. An affiliate of the Los Angeles-based multifamily investor led by Sean Burton bought the Tralee Village Apartments at 6599 Dublin Boulevard, SiliconValley.com reported. The seller was JB Matteson, based in San Mateo. The deal works out to about $354,000 a unit — not including its ground-floor retail, which Cityview said didn’t come with the deal.
