City honors Sailors' efforts to save Convention Hall

ENID, Okla. — The city of Enid paid tribute to the late Tom Sailors, who led efforts to save Convention Hall when it was facing demolition in 2010, with the dedication of a plaque in his honor Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The plaque hangs next to the entrance of the building he worked to save that now is part of Stride Bank Center.

ENID, Okla. — Enid philanthropist Paul Allen was honored Sunday, May 4, 2025, during a public memorial service at David Allen Memorial Ballpark. The service centered on reflections by family and friends based on a note Allen had written to himself and which was found by his sons Mark and Greg after his death April 13.
