Sam the fox, who stole hearts as he roamed the city’s empty streets during the pandemic, has sadly passed away. He was known for strutting through Trinity College, Grafton Street, and Temple Bar throughout the lockdown. Sam became a local legend and was even immortalised in poetry, through writings from the late Derek Mahon. Just a friendly fox roaming Grafton Street of a Tuesday evening.

Abuse hurled from the sidelines, racist comments and violence is becoming more widespread in the grassroots football league. A new initiative 'It's My Game' has been launched with Q102 and looks to give the game back to kids - to just let them play and enjoy the sport.

A local councillor in Drimnagh says bonfires are out of control in the area and are being lit almost every night. Daithí Doolan has urged those involved to "stop and think" before starting the fires. "Bonfires destroy our environment; they destroy our green spaces and our football pitches," he said. The Sinn Fein politician says he met with residents in Drimnagh this week.
