WASHINGTON (7News) — A quick-moving storm system is causing downed trees, power outages, and traffic impacts Friday evening in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia region. According to 7News' First Alert Weather team, several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings are popping up in the region as the area remains in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m. Friday's weather ingredients of damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and possible flooding have led to several downed trees and sweeping damage reports.
