Laten we teruggaan naar het begin van het internet. Toen was het internet dé belofte om kennis te delen. Waar je eerst in een encyclopedie of bibliotheek moest zoeken, kon je nu informatie thuis ontvangen en realtime delen. Het internet bood toegang tot een schat aan kennis en vergrootte de vrijheid van informatie enorm. De schaal en snelheid waarmee we informatie konden delen was ongekend. We maakten letterlijk en figuurlijk verbinding. Dit bleek niet alleen gezellig, maar ook belangrijk.
