Surveillance video shows people running for their lives as gunshots rang out in a shooting that killed a woman in Lauderhill over the weekend. Police said 41-year-old Erika Williams died early Sunday in a shooting in the 1700 block of Northwest 38th Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two women who had been shot. One of them died at the scene, and the other was transported to the hospital and later released.

A man who was killed in a fiery crash in Hollywood over the weekend was remembered by his community as funny and hard-working. Douglas Freeman, 49, was a beloved and well-known barber at Toppcuttaz barbershop in Miami Gardens. "Full of laughs all the time. Full of fun," said Michael Stephens, who owns the barbershop. "Just a good guy. Out here trying to make it, about his family."The crash happened near Sheridan Street and North 40th Avenue in Hollywood on Sunday.

A family is demanding answers after a Miami Gardens police officer shot their dog numerous times in an incident caught on surveillance video. It happened Saturday night near the family's home on Northwest 185th Street. The footage shows the dog, a Rottweiler named Zeus, running towards the officer. It also captured when the officer fired multiple shots. The family said they called police about cars being vandalized in the neighborhood.

Neighbors are remembering a husband and wife who died after a fire broke out at their Miami Gardens home as peaceful and hard-working. Family and neighbors identified the victims as Ronda Spencer-Fordham and Tim Fordham, who died Wednesday morning. "I'm still processing the loss. I haven't been hit as yet," Clayton Fullerton said. "There was nothing negative about them.

In an emotional reunion on Wednesday, a woman cried and embraced the Fort Lauderdale first responders who jumped in to save her when she choked during dinner last month. Karen Conway was eating with her nephew on April 5 when she suddenly started choking on a piece of steak. She gasped for air, and then passed out. An off-duty firefighter started doing chest compressions, then Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue showed up and jumped into action, officials said.
