NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man died hours after being shot at an East Harlem public housing complex early Wednesday. At approximately 3:36 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 205 E 112 St. Upon arrival, police observed Ramon Alvarez with a gunshot wound to the torso, conscious and alert. EMS rushed Alvarez to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem where he was later pronounced dead.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released a photo of a man they are looking to identify accused of groping two women within 20 minutes in Brooklyn last month authorities said. At approximately 2:25 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, a 24-year-old woman was walking in front of 2319 Nostrand Ave. in East Midwood when she was approached by the suspect from behind. The suspect touched the victim’s buttocks and was last seen fleeing northbound on Nostrand Avenue.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 69-year-old man was reportedly found dead on a Staten Island beach after crashing into a concrete barrier Monday morning. Police found the man unresponsive outside of his vehicle at the intersection of Joline Avenue and Tricia Way in Tottenville just after 6:30 a.m. EMS pronounced him dead on the scene. The crash scene is right near the waters of Raritan Bay, and a source told the Staten Island Advance that the man was found on the beach.
Woman, 74, followed into Harlem home, groped; suspect ID'd

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to locate a homeless man accused of following a 74-year-old woman into her Harlem home then groping her last month. At about 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, the suspect followed the victim into her apartment in the vicinity of Broadway and West 142nd Street, officials said. Once inside the apartment, the suspect, identified as 64-year-old Alfred Eaddy, touched the victim’s intimate parts over her clothing before fleeing out of the building on foot.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released a photo on Wednesday of three suspects accused of a robbing a teen boy of a designer hat on a Brooklyn street earlier this month. At approximately 4:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, a 17-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of Avenue D and East 40th Street in Flatbush when he was approached by two of the suspects. Acting in concert with a third suspect, they told the teen they would shoot him if he fought with them.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect wanted for robbing a Wells Fargo bank on the Lower East Side last month. At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank located at 138 Clinton St., officials said. The suspect passed a note to a teller demanding cash. He took $5,000 and then fled the location on foot to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Thursday released footage of a suspect wanted for stealing uniforms from a delivery truck on a Manhattan street last week. It was reported to police that on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at approximately 1240 hours, an unidentified male approached a delivery truck that was parked in front of 405 East 14th St. in StuyTown. The suspect stole bags of uniforms and clothing from the truck and fled the location on foot.

It happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Sutter Avenue subway station in Brownsville. According to officials, a 26-year-old man approached the suspects in an attempt to ask for directions and engaged them in conversation.

It happened at approximately 3:48 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, authorites said. A 42-year-old man was standing at the corner of Clay Avenue and East 167th Street in Morrisania when the two suspects were having a dispute with another person, cops said.
