So, the Giants began preparations to face the Seahawks in Seattle without their top receiver. Of the Giants total receiving yards, Nabers is responsible for 44 % of them. The Giants have 881 receiving yards. Nabers has 386. What did quarterback Daniel Jones see without Nabers on the field Wednesday? “I thought we had a good day,” Jones said.

The Giants offense, so far this season, has struggled, to say the least. The offense ranks 21st in the league in scoring with an average of 15 points per game. No offense can continue to live by field goals alone. As wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson said, “We were able to throw the ball, but at the end of the day, we’ve got to score points and score touchdowns.”The Giants' most recent game, and loss, seems long ago.

Where do the Giants go from here? The obvious answer: To Seattle to play the Seahawks on Sunday. And that won’t be easy. Entering their game Monday night in Detroit, the 3-0 Seahawks had the second-best defense in yards allowed, behind only the Steelers. Seattle also was allowing an NFL-low132.3 passing yards per game. The rest of the numbers aren’t pretty, either. The Giants have scored an NFC-low 60 points in four games. Among offensive lines, the Giants rank 15th in pass-blocking.

Malik Nabers has become a star. He catches almost everything Giants quarterback Daniel Jones throws his way. He impacts the game. The Cowboys are coming to town on Thursday night, and no one needed to remind Andrew Thomas of that. The Giants left tackle injured his hamstring last year against the Cowboys in the opener at MetLife Stadium, and neither he nor the Giants recovered fully during the 2023 season. The injury happened when Thomas tried to chase down a return of a blocked field goal in what would become a 40-0 Dallas rout. The 2023 season represents a memory that Thomas surely wants to forget.
