Good morning, President Donald Trump sent the auto industry into a tailspin Wednesday evening when he announced a 25% tariff on imported cars and some auto parts will go into effect next week. The policy is likely to have far-reaching consequences for automakers, suppliers, consumers and the economy at large, but plenty is still unknown. We promise to keep you updated. As always, weâre still keeping our focus on what officials are doing in our backyard.
