PARK CITY, Utah — Lectura Lounge, which opened its doors in January 2024, quickly became a hub for local creativity. That summer, co-founder Maritza Roño Refuerzo launched the Witty Writers Workshop, beginning with sessions for children and teens. By fall, the program expanded to include an adult and teen group led by Britt Sady. The adult/teen Witty Writers Workshop group was so dedicated that they chose to continue. Britt Sady says, “I have always wanted to grow Witty Writers”.

PARK CITY, Utah — MINERS9 presents its second show of the summer season with new hours. The exhibit is open Friday and Saturday, 12–7 p.m. (live music is still 5–7 p.m.) and Sunday from 12–4 p.m. in the Miners Hospital, May 30–31 and June 1. Anna Nizhoni will entertain guests from 5–7 p.m. on Friday, May 30, with jazz and classical piano music. Having already displayed her visual art at MINERS9 last month, she is now ready to communicate with the community through music.

PARK CITY, Utah — Summit Park is currently experiencing an aggressive outbreak of the Douglas-fir beetle, which is causing a rapid localized die-off of large, mature Douglas-fir trees. An estimated 50 to 60 trees are either dead or in severe decline on several private vacant lots in the Matterhorn Drive area of Summit Park and a small area of adjoining land in the Summit Park Open Space.
