The Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing wide receiver Denzel Mims, NFL Network reported on Tuesday. Mims was signed by the Steelers on Oct. 3 and placed on their practice squad. He remained there throughout the rest of the season and signed a reserve/futures deal on Jan. 17. Mims, 26, has totaled 42 catches for 676 yards in 30 career games (15 starts) with the New York Jets.

The NFL released its 2024 preseason schedule Friday, also revealing the five games that will be televised nationally. Each of the NFL's five primary media partners will take a turn to get its crews ready for the season, starting with ESPN/ABC airing the Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 1 at 8 p.m. ET. That game features the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears.

Safety C.J. Moore is returning to the Detroit Lions after serving a one-season suspension for violating the NFL's gambling policy, NFL Network reported Tuesday. The deal is for one year, but financial terms of the contract were not disclosed. The Lions signed Moore as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and he played in 56 games (one start) for Detroit.
