Just a few days removed from longtime center Frank Ragnow announcing his retirement, the Detroit Lions have added some much-needed depth to their offensive line. Per the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Lions are signing guard/center Trystan Colon-Castillo to a one-year deal. Colon-Castillo, who will be entering his sixth season this fall, comes to Detroit after suiting up the last two seasons for the Arizona Cardinals.

According to Jonathan Alexander of the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Texans are in the planning stages of arranging a shared workout with the Lions ahead of both teams’ preseason finale on Aug. 23 at Ford Field. The Detroit Lions continue to bolster their front seven this offseason, this time by adding to their linebacker unit. According to NFL Network, the Lions are signing veteran linebacker Zach Cunningham. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed. Cunningham’s signing comes at an interesting time, as defensive captain Alex Anzalone recently hinted at desiring a new deal. Anzalone was not present at the team’s voluntary workouts last week.
