Booth Newspapers, also known as Booth Michigan, is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was the owner of eight newspapers across the state. It was established by George Gough Booth along with his two brothers. In 1976, Booth Newspapers was acquired by Advance Publications, a company owned by Samuel I. Newhouse, for $305 million, which was a record-breaking amount at that time.

Michigan State is losing another returning EDGE player to the portal. James Schott, a redshirt junior rush end, announced Wednesday via social media he’s transferring out to use his final two seasons of eligibility. He’s the second at the position to hit the portal during the spring window after Anthony Jones did last week. Schott, 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, had five tackles in 19 games over the last two seasons. The former three-star recruit from Indiana didn’t play as a true freshman in 2022.
