For this large bedroom’s walls, Montgomery thought white might read too stark and instead opted for a grayish-blue-green to soften the space. “We also painted the wall of closet doors, built-in cabinetry, and trim a slightly different shade of blue,” she says. Warm tones were introduced via wood, leather, olive, and salmon fabrics to offset the coolness of the walls.
