COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio could introduce a new tax break to help working people who take care of aging loved ones. At the statehouse on Wednesday, AARP volunteers and staff lobbied for the passage of a state caregiver tax credit. The bill proposal, backed by AARP, would give up to $2,000 in state tax credit to help cover caregiving expenses.
Its a nonrefundable tax credit aimed at easing the financial burden for thousands of families across the state.
