A Canterbury doctor is accused of professional misconduct after she allegedly imported and prescribed unapproved medicines to 29 patients and gave “inaccurate” and “misleading” advice about Covid-19. The GP, who has interim name suppression, is before the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal, where she faces a charge of professional misconduct laid by the New Zealand Medical Council’s Professional Conduct Committee (PCC). The council’s role is to protect and promote public health and safety.

Some members of the public will get a rare glimpse inside the Christ Church Cathedral and hear about the work to rebuild it as part of an upcoming architecture festival. Te Pūtahi’s Open Christchurch festival on May 5 and 6 will celebrate some of the city’s best architecture and this year features a “humbling” inside tour of the cathedral. The tour proved to be one of the most popular, with tickets selling out in just 30 minutes.

The customer support officers, from security company First Security, will travel on different routes across the Metro network. Environment Canterbury (ECan) announced on Monday that Metro had established a new team of 11 support officers to tackle anti-social behaviour on some of the network’s busier routes.
