    About Osceola Turkey The Osceola wild turkey subspecies has one of the most limited ranges, as it’s found exclusively in select areas of Florida. By comparison, the closely related eastern wild turkey is found in no less than 38 states. The Osceola’s name hearkens to an early Seminole tribal chief covering much of the same territory. Though strikingly similar to the eastern subspecies, the Osceola has unique characteristics that make the bird (and the hunt) unique.
