    Even the title of this interview makes me want to sigh in relief. Why do you think it’s important for us to be kinder to ourselves and to others, and is this something that a book can help us do? In my clinical work and my personal life, I am acutely aware that we can all be harsh to ourselves; we all have an ‘inner critic’ to contend with. This inner critic feeds off skewed comparisons that we make between ourselves and others, which is aided and abetted by social media.
