    WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A fugitive from Detroit was taken into custody in Wayne County, West Virginia, after deputies said a search revealed more than a quarter pound of fentanyl hidden in the man’s underwear. Clay “Jazz” Richbow, 34, has been charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance and obstruction, according to a social media post from the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit.

    Two suspected cases of measles prompted testing and the holiday weekend delayed results of those tests, according to the Jackson County Health Department. “There is a suspicion when a patent presents certain symptoms that they may be a case of measles. These tests are ordered to be able to rule out measles,” the department posted to social media Monday.

    LYNCH, Ky. (WCHS) — Kentucky State Police have made an arrest after a Virginia woman’s body was found in a “suspicious” vehicle fire on Easter Sunday. David Stoneburner, 29, of Appalachia, Virginia, has been charged with first-degree arson and abuse of a corpse following the death of his aunt, 44-year-old Sandra Moore, according to a news release from State Police.

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — A justice within West Virginia’s high court has announced her intentions to retire this year. West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Walker submitted a letter to Chief Justice William Wooten last week, announcing her retirement effective June 27. Walker referred to her time on the state’s Supreme Court of Appeals as “the greatest honor of my life” and pledged help bring in new leadership. I am grateful to the people of this state who elected me.
