MEADOW BRIDGE, W.Va. (WCHS) — Crews have completed cleanup after an overturned weed sprayer truck leaked chemicals into a Summers County waterway that connects with the New River. About 300 gallons of diluted herbicide leaked into Meadow Creek as a result of the wrecked vehicle, which had left railroad tracks near the 4100 block of Claypool Road, according to a social media post from the Summers County 911 Center.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Kanawha County woman has been arrested after dispatchers received multiple calls from young children crying and screaming, court records said. Amanda Lynn Spurlock, 32, of Elkview has been charged with two counts child neglect causing risk of injury, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
