Tyler Walker is returning to the Central Pennsylvania Sprint Car scene. This Selinsgrove Ford Appalachian Mountain Speedweek is forcing Trever Feathers outside his comfort zone. Three of the eight tracks on the schedule — Clinton County Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa., Path Valley Speedway in Spring Run, Pa., and Bridgeport (N.J.) Motorsports Park — are places the Winchester, Va., driver has never raced before the miniseries. Two big Pennsylvania racetracks, Bedford and Selinsgrove speedways, are admittedly not his forte.

BRIDGEPORT, N.J. — Dirt Late Model racing observers haven’t had a reason to follow Briggs Danner, much less have a reason to know the name of the Allentown, Pa., driver regarded as one of the finest young drivers in the open-wheel ranks. After Sunday’s Selinsgrove Ford Appalachian Mountain Speedweek event at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, the fendered world might want to start paying attention to the 23-year-old, especially if he decides to race Late Models more often.
