Every morning, Kyle greets me in the mirror. I haven’t seen him in nine years, we were only 12 years old when he left this world. As years pass, I see less of Kyle, but the features we share fester in glimpses of my smile, laugh and especially my frown. I’m ashamed that I don’t want to see his face in mine. On the precipice of his 10th year serving as LMU’s 16th president, Snyder received a 33.35% salary increase from the previous fiscal year, marking his second highest raise during his tenure at LMU. Snyder’s highest raise came following his first year serving as LMU’s president, where he received a from the 2015-16 fiscal year to the 2016-17 fiscal year.

The 2023-24 school year marked a record high for the most expensive years to study at LMU with both a 5.4% increase in undergraduate tuition and 9.3% increase in estimated cost of full-time undergraduate attendance. Consequently, the value of class attendance has exceeded participation points with the estimated cost of each class meeting becoming more expensive each year.
