    Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line is the most widely used cell line for biopharmaceutical production. Therefore, generation of a stable recombinant CHO (rCHO) cell line with high productivity is necessary for the production of recombinant therapeutic proteins, which account for the largest proportion of biologics (Walsh & Walsh, 2022). Traditionally, stable cell line development is based on random integration (RI) of the transgene, subsequent selection, and large-scale clone screening.
