    PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation held an open house on National Donut Day to invite community members, funders, and non-profits to show all that they do while they show off their new renovations. This open house comes one day after the PACF’s Spring Community Action Grant Awards Ceremony, where they awarded just under a half a million dollars in grants to many non-profits in the area.

    WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - Friday was National Donut Day, and people from across the Mid-Ohio Valley celebrated the sweet treat in honor of the holiday! National Donut Day takes place on the first Friday in June every year. Kelie O’Rooney, a crew member at McHappy’s says that the donut shop celebrated the holiday by giving away a free glazed donut to everyone who entered. She says that seeing everyone come in during the holiday is a wonderful feeling.
