We investigate the flow of quasi-2D liquid foams, composed of a single monolayer of bubbles in close contact and confined between two glass plates in a Hele-Shaw cell, with a specific emphasis on understanding how bubble shapes evolve in response to varying flow speeds.

We report experimental results on the dynamics of large bubbles in a Hele-Shaw cell subject to various inclination angles with respect to gravity. Low Reynolds number cases are studied by injecting bubbles in a stagnant water/UCON mixture in three different Hele-Shaw cell geometry.

Abstract Motivated by the resistive switchings in transition-metal oxides (TMOs) induced by a voltage bias, we study the far-from-equilibrium dynamics of an electric-field-driven strongly correlated model featuring a first-order insulator-to-metal transition at equilibrium, namely the dimer-Hubbard model. We use a nonequilibrium implementation of the dynamical cluster approximation to access the steady-state spectral and transport properties.
