    Residents interested in exercising their voting rights during the 2025 municipal elections will need to ensure that they are registered to vote in the upcoming municipal election before September 15, 2025.  This is the first municipal election cycle where voters will need to register to vote following changes made by the Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act, 2024 which came into effect on October 31, 2024 and made a voter registry mandatory for all municipalities across the province.

    Flushing of water lines throughout the Town of Drumheller began on Monday, May 26 and is scheduled to continue throughout each community through the remainder of the summer months.  The flushing, which is part of the Town’s standard practices, will help to clear water lines of built-up sediment, mineral deposits and debris.

    A man received a suspended sentence of two years less one day in a historic case of Indecent Assault in the Alberta Court of Justice in Drumheller on Friday, May 23.  The man, who cannot be identified, entered a guilty plea to one charge of indecent assault from an incident stemming from 1974.  The court heard how the man, who was 22 years of age at the time, had had intercourse with the victim, who was 13 years old at the time of the assault.
