An underlying theme of the movie is the incredible vastness of the land.     Standing between the two big rocks on the crest of the ridge, I felt pretty special. Not me, myself, being special, you understand. No, I felt special, lucky and blessed just to be here. I have talked about these two boulders before, and they stand as sentinels on this high and wild ridge. It's not the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there. I have always thought that this long ridgeline was and is a natural thoroughfare.

The young man sitting on my right shoulder had done all that was asked of him in a difficult situation. This little turkey party had started like a lot of them, lots of gobbling at first, and it seemed he was going to march right in and shake hands.
