Larry Michaels and Krista Michaels)Special to The News-MessengerEast State Street, 1904Not many pictures were taken of the 1904 flood, but this unusual photograph shows how high the water had risen on East State Street, as seen from near the intersection of Water Street. The old buildings on the north side of the street include the Bingman and Munch Grocery and the Stieff Billman Company.
