    FREMONT – The weather was hot and humid, but the community Juneteenth celebration did not slow down. The Juneteenth event was hosted by the NAACP Unit 3217B in Fremont’s Birchard Park and Rodger Young Park on June 20 and 21. Juneteenth is a federal holiday on June 19 to commemorate the official end of slavery in the United States, and the NAACP has a series of events planned for the weekend in a two-day celebration.

Bomer controlled the things he could and never looked back as the Lakota senior took the all-conference spot behind the plate and even captured second-team all-state honor.
