    BETHLEHEM — The Port of Albany is seeking ideas for the redevelopment of Beacon Island, an 85-acre site it owns along the Hudson River in Glenmont. The port originally purchased the site for $5.25 million in 2018 for an offshore wind turbine tower manufacturing facility. The facility was going to supply the towers for an offshore wind farm called Empire Wind 2, planned off the coast of Long Island, set to be developed by Equinor, a Norwegian energy firm.

    ALBANY — Real estate agents for drugstore chain Rite Aid have already started to unload its real estate assets across 15 states — including more than 1,187 leases it has with landlords, as well as the 50 stores it owns outright — just two days after the company announced its bankruptcy reorganization plan. Rite Aid, which had only emerged from a previous bankruptcy program in September, said Monday it would sell all of its assets and lay off all of its workers nationwide as part of the plan.

    ALBANY — Rite Aid, the struggling drugstore chain with 1,245 stores in 15 states, is planning to close all of its 178 stores in New York state, including 11 local stores, as part of a plan to sell all of its assets through a Chapter 11 reorganization plan, its second bankruptcy in two years. Philadelphia-based Rite Aid was founded in 1962 in Scranton, Pa. and at its peak had more than 5,000 stores.

The settlement totals $600,000, according to court papers filed in district court.
