The Clovis Unified School District in Fresno County has received a $10 million state grant to raise student attendance and achievement, The Fresno Bee reported. The five-year grant to seven schools comes from the California Community Schools Partnership Program, and will also be used for professional development in early literacy for teachers and behavioral counseling for students, the newspaper reported.
