Fox Corporation, often referred to as Fox Corp. or simply Fox, is an American media company located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 2019 following the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company. The assets not acquired by Disney were restructured into the new Fox Corp., which began trading publicly on March 19, 2019. The company is officially incorporated in Delaware. The Murdoch family, through a family trust, holds a 39% stake in Fox Corp. Rupert Murdoch serves as co-executive chairman, while Lachlan Murdoch is the chairman and CEO. Fox Corp. primarily focuses on television broadcasting, news, and sports, utilizing the assets that remained after the Disney acquisition. This includes the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Television Stations, Fox News, Fox Business, and national operations of Fox Sports, among others. Additionally, News Corp, another company controlled by the Murdoch family, manages their print media and other related assets.
