Broadway for United Way is back next week, and participants can enjoy dinner and a show. Ryan Benz of Oh My Darling, who also serves on United Way of CNY board of directors, is providing Central New Yorkers the chance to see “Beetlejuice” at the Landmark while supporting local charities.

At Jamesville Correctional Facility, a sewing program is teaching inmates valuable life skills, benefiting local children in need, and it doesn’t cost taxpayers a cent. Onondaga County sheriff Toby Shelley joined us to talk more about the program and its benefits. He also shared some items made by inmates. Lots of these items made are donated to children at the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center.

(WSYR-TV) — The decision has been made, and a new pope has been elected. It happened yesterday afternoon EST or evening in Vatican time. White smoke billowed out of the chimney, signaling that a new pope has been elected and has accepted the position. About an hour after the white smoke was seen, the new pope emerged from the balcony. History was made as the new pope was revealed to be 69 year old American cardinal Robert Prevost, now to be know as Pope Leo XIV.
