Unlike most modern bakeries, The Grain Shed has been doing things the old-fashioned way since it opened in June 2018 - using a flour mill to transform its varieties of locally sourced grains as well as baking each product in a wood-fired oven.

    Gonzaga University alumnus Michael Larson spread awareness of the United States' increasing population of older homeless individuals at a screening of his latest documentary, "No Place To Grow Old." The documentary, which was shown on Nov. 14 at the Myrtle Woldson Coughlin Theater, was created to bring awareness to the fastest-growing demographic of people entering homelessness - those aged 55 or older.
