A staff member at another Idaho residential care facility was reported for inappropriate contact with two children; one case worker responded to the report within a few days, while the other child’s case worker didn’t come for a month.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Gov. Brad Little said Thursday that Idaho State Police will soon begin helping facilitate the deportation of people who are in Idaho illegally and currently serving sentences in county jails. The Idaho State Police entered into a formal agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, through the federal 287(g) program to help transport unauthorized immigrants who’ve been convicted of crimes to detention centers where they will be processed for deportation.

    The University of Idaho’s pursuit to purchase a major online for-profit university is at an end. The University of Phoenix announced Tuesday that the two institutions have agreed to end talks over the controversial $685 million proposal, Idaho Education News reporter Kevin Richert first reported. The State Board of Education is expected to finalize the termination at a meeting Thursday.
