DENVER — Colorado's hot, dry stretch of weather continues. Today, highs are forecast to reach 90 degrees once again. That would put us close to our existing record high of 92 degrees, last set in 1892. Winds will pick up this evening gusting up to 20mph around Denver. We're expecting stronger winds across the eastern plains. As a result of those 35mph winds and low relative humidity across the plains, a red flag warning has been issued for east-central Colorado.

While storm chances will be very isolated across the front range and eastern plains, most of the state will remain under a Marginal risk for severe weather. Monday, keep slight storm chances in-mind, ahead of a drying trend taking over through the rest of the week. Additionally, afternoon highs will stay in the upper 80s/lower 90s Monday through Wednesday.

DENVER — Saturday, afternoon highs climb into the lower 90s, across the front range/eastern plains. We'll stay mostly dry, but can't rule out a few brief, afternoon showers, with a strong pop-up storm here and there. Any storms that pop up, especially across the northern plains, could see small to medium hail, gusty winds, a quick downpour and lots of lightning/thunder. Saturday night, storms move out, leaving mild overnight lows, in the lower 60s.
