The Australian owned and operated software platform has signed with the New Zealand-based retirement village provider Summerset to introduce the eCase management system across Summerset’s seven new Victorian continuum of care sites. Summerset's first village in Australia is being built in Cranbourne North, 39km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, with work starting in October 2023. The first residents moved in the following April. and now the village’s Community Centre is taking shape.

Corio Projects has proposed the demolition of existing buildings to make way for an integrated seniors’ living development in Rosebery, 6km south of Sydney’s CBD. The development includes 170 independent living units and a 34-bed residential aged care facility. The project is being led by FDC Construction & Fitout's Bentley Cottle and Peter McCabe, through their involvement with Corio Projects.

The surprise announcement in Adelaide yesterday morning by Minister for Aged Care and Seniors Sam Rae, alongside Minister for Health and Ageing Mark Butler, to delay the new Aged Care Act from 1 July to 1 November has exposed significant challenges both within the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and at the frontline of aged care delivery. The decision to delay the new Aged Care Act, for the third time, has seen a wide variety of responses.
