Laliga has announced that the Estadio Martínez Valero, home to Spanish professional football club Elche CF, will be redeveloped to offer better services and an enhanced experience for fans. The club will work together with IDOM to renovate the stadium. Starting in January 2025, the renovation, which will be divided into several phases, will be carried out over an 18-month period.

On 7 June 2024, Bogotá’s city hall signed a concession contract for a 2.4 billion Peso (US$604 million) PPP to build and operate the new El Campin Cultural and Sports Complex. The project was awarded last December to the consortium Asociación Público Privada Complejo Cultural y Deportivo El Campín (CDEC). As part of the project, the Nemesio Camacho El Campin Stadium, Colombia’s most prominent stadium, will undergo an extensive renovation.

Work has begun to replace the 3G pitch at the Gallagher Stadium, home to UK National League South team Maidstone United FC. It will be the third artificial turf pitch to be laid at the home of the Stones since the venue opened in July 2012. The removal of the existing surface and laying of a new state-of-the-art pitch is due to take between three and five weeks, subject to weather conditions. FieldTurf will be carrying out the work.

Last week, 19 out of 20 UK Premier League clubs voted in favour of continuing to operate Video Assistant Referees (VAR) throughout Premier League matches. The vote took place at the Premier League’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). In May, the Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) formally submitted a resolution to the Premier League, asking for VAR to be removed entirely in time for the start of the 2024/25 season.
