May has been quite a busy month for Savannah James. The Akron native started it off by gracing the blue carpet on the first Monday of May for her Met Gala debut in New York City. She did so solo as her husband LeBron, who was named as the honorary chair of the gala, had to skip the event due to an injury he sustained toward the end of his 22nd NBA season.

The first Monday in May is known as one of fashion's biggest nights. And although LeBron James was absent from the annual Met Gala in New York City on May 5, Akron was still represented. Late last year, James was named as the honorary chair of the gala, whose theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" with the dress code, Tailored For You.
