    For the third straight year, Omaha softball is the Summit League tournament champions. After a run-rule loss in the first game of the double-elimination championship, the Mavericks rallied to beat South Dakota 4-2 and secure a spot in the NCAA softball tournament. Omaha earns the league's automatic qualifier for the third straight season. In the bottom of the second Maggie O'Brien was walked to load the bases and Rylinn Groff hit a single to bring home two runs and give the Mavericks a 2-0 lead.
