KLKN-TV (Lincoln, NE)
Before March 1996, it was quite surprising that a city as large as Lincoln, Nebraska, had just one local commercial TV station. This changed in the spring of 1996 when Channel 8 KLKN-TV began broadcasting, bringing an ABC affiliate to Lincoln. More than just a new TV station, KLKN-TV offered quality programming, a dedication to serving the community, and a strong promise to deliver the best and most thorough news coverage for Lincoln and its surrounding areas.
