LINDALEย โ Behind blazing bats and dominant pitching, Hallsville defeated Crandall, 11-1, in Game 2 of the Class 5A Division 2 regional semifinals to secure the sweep and advance to the regional softball finals. The first inning was all about pitching. Crandall's Jill Prda and Hallsville's Ella Baird allowed a runner on but were able to get out of the inning unscathed. The Hallsville offense came alive in the second inning.

KILGOREย โ Behind a no-hitter tossed by Carson Wallace and a walk-off by Mason Clark, Harleton downed the Alba-Golden Panthers, 10-0, in five innings to earn the title of area champions at Driller Park. The Harleton student section showed up in full force, banging on trash cans and making as much noise as possible while cheering "feral mongoose" in support of Wallace and cheering every player when he was up to bat. Wallace asserted his dominance on the mound early.

In a packed Y.A. Tittle Fieldhouse full of friends, family and coaches Wednesday, Marshall's Bri Theus and Dameon Smith Jr signed to continue their academic and athletic careers in college. Theus signed to play softball at Kilgore College, while Smith signed to run track at the University of Texas at Tyler. When Theus got the offer from Kilgore, she said she shut down her recruiting. She knew she wanted to further her academic and athletic career 30 minutes down Interstate 20.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The No. 2 seed Wiley University baseball team ended the 2025 season with its most wins in over 20 years. It fell 13-9 to No. 3 seed Stillman College in 13 innings in the semifinal of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Athletic Conference (HBCUAC) 2025 Hope Credit Union Baseball Championship Saturday at CHI St. Vincent Field at Dickey-Stephens Park.
