    EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State’s men’s basketball team will be hosting Duke in a non-conference game at the Breslin Center this winter. The game is scheduled for December 6th.     LESLIE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A suspect has believed to have been identified after an 88-year-old woman was allegedly scammed out of $9,500 last year. The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office informs us that on January 8, 2024, the woman from Leslie Township received a call from a person who identified themselves as officers and claimed that they needed bail money, stating that the victim’s daughter had been arrested. We’re told that the woman gave the money before the scam was discovered.

    EAST LANSING, Mich — The woman behind an iconic name known throughout Michigan State University’s campus has passed away. MSU has announced that Dolores Duncan Wharton, of the Wharton Center, passed on Saturday, June 7. Wharton was born in 1927 in New York City. In 1950, she married Clifton R. Wharton Jr., who would serve as MSU’s president from 1970 to 1978. Together, they raised two sons, Bruce Wharton and Clifton R. Wharton III.

    EAST LANSING, Mich. — Three shooting victims have reached multi-million-dollar settlements with Michigan State University. This is in relation to the February 2023 shooting on the school’s campus. Officials announced that they reached $29.75 million in settlements on behalf of three survivors. Three students were killed and five more were hurt when a gunman opened fire on MSU’s campus on February 13. Nathan Statly, sustained a life-altering gunshot wound to the head.

The Lansing Police Department tells us that around 3:30 a.m. On Monday, June 2, two 17-year-old males walked into the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Here's what happens when you call 911 We’re told that this was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the public. This case is still under investigation.
