Sacramento police at Camp Resolution as people block entrance with barbed wire, propane tanks

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Officers with the Sacramento Police Department are at a homeless encampment known as Camp Resolution Monday. The site needs to be vacated today, according to the city of Sacramento. But, some people have put up barbed wire and propane tanks to block the entrance of the encampment. Police have placed yellow tape reading "police line do not cross" in the area around the entrance.

The proposed complex, called Solano Sports Complex, would be a multi-sport facility for youth and adult sports, including facilities for baseball and softball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, gymnastics, swimming and more. The goal is to host sports camps, leagues, and tournaments locally and regionally.

VACAVILLE, Calif. — A Vacaville firefighter and Dallas Cowboys fan is making headlines after cameras caught him on the phone looking unamused ahead of his team's loss in Santa Clara Sunday. The NBC Sunday Night Football broadcast showed Eugene Hernandez talking on the phone in the 4th quarter as the Cowboys faced the San Francisco 49ers.
