The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at John A. Logan College in the Hancock Center/F Wing, 700 Logan College Drive. Parking is free and available in the gold and blue lots. Staff will be available to discuss technical and administrative support opportunities at multiple IDOT locations throughout the area.

The Miss Southern Hope Pageant, organized by Arrowleaf, is coming up on June 14th. Proceeds from the event benefit Arrowleaf’s Client Choice Food Pantry, which provides essential food assistance to individuals and families in need throughout the region. The pageant is open to young women ages 5–19 and includes four age divisions.

    ON THIS DAY in 2004 TV sitcom "Friends" airs the series finale of its 10th and final season in the US, attracting 52.5 million viewers. Locally, Carbondale Main Street invites you to its summer Brown Bag Concert Series. The series is one of our region’s longest running events. Concerts are held at Carbondale’s Town Square Pavilion each Wednesday in May and June from Noon to 1 p.m. Concerts are free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own seats and lunches.

    Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, David Lee Roth, is the latest performer to join the Grandstand lineup at the Du Quoin State Fair this summer. The legendary rocker is scheduled to headline on Saturday, August 23rd. Roth, the voice of Van Halen, left an indelible mark on rock music while helping define the sound of the 80s with anthems like “Jump” and “Panama.” His high-energy performances and unique vocal style quickly made Van Halen one of the biggest rock bands of the 80s.
