New Mexico’s Franklin Mountain Packaging, a manufacturer specializing in boxes, containers and custom packaging, added over 60 jobs to their Santa Teresa operations, which doubled in 2023. The company scored $701,117 in state job training incentives to train 63 new employees, the state Economic Development Department announced last week. The trainees will be paid $20 per hour, on average.

Ground broke on ArtHouse, a 129-unit apartment building, on March 27 in Santa Fe’s new Aspect Media Village development, kicking off Phase 1 of the $100 million project. Aspect Media Village is a 21-acre mixed-use film studio and residential development aimed at revitalizing the city’s long-dilapidated Midtown Corridor. The Village repurposes the vacant Santa Fe University of Art and Design, which closed in 2018. The city approved the project in December 2024.

Franco Whole Foods is expanding its Las Cruces operations, bringing hundreds of new jobs to the area. A Californian tortilla-maker is expanding its operations on the south side of Las Cruces, an investment of nearly $8 million expected to employ 241 new jobs. San Diego-Based food manufacturer Franco Whole Foods is upgrading its existing facility in Las Cruces, and modeling a second facility— a total investment of $7,825,000, a county planning document shows.
