BUTTE -- Missoulian Rick Tabish — first convicted then acquitted of murder in the death of Las Vegas casino executive Ted Binion — seeks to turn the black slag piled along Highway 1 near Anaconda into a heaping profit. Tabish, 51, formed a company, Premier Industries, in mid-July with the intent to process the slag. Tabish approached the Mill Creek Tax Increment Financing Industrial District Board in Anaconda in mid-December with a proposal to buy or lease county land on Mill Creek Road.
