Bobby Allison, founder of racing's "Alabama Gang" and a NASCAR Hall of Famer, died Saturday at the age of 86. NASCAR released a statement from Allison's family that said he died at home in Mooresville, North Carolina. A cause of death wasn't given, but Allison had been in declining health for years.

College Football is coming to the Electric City. The inaugural season of Anderson University Trojan football kicks off next month and this weekend, AU is holding a dedication of the new Spero Financial Field at Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium. IIt's a free event on Saturday, that's open to the public, starting at 10:30AM at the stadium located on Williamston Road. The Trojans will play their first college football game in Anderson University's 113 year history on September 7th.
