The emphasis of the project started in 2020 when I began documenting the locals within the surrounding areas of my home. What started out as a way to pass my time quickly turned into a way I connected to others within my own community until the project eventually grew to other areas within the American South. Through my simple and careful observations, I discovered that regardless where I spent my time, the sense of belonging was in the forefront.
