Earlier this year, the announcement of a brand new game in the Ninja Gaiden franchise, the long-awaited Ninja Gaiden 4, was met with a lot of excitement from us fans of the franchise. Even if I don’t think that Ninja Gaiden 3 is that terrible (it’s underwhelming, sure, but I’ve played worse), I’m glad we’re finally going to get an actual Ninja Gaiden sequel to take advantage of the many technical improvements seen in gaming over the past 13 years.

Here at WayTooManyGames, we rarely, if ever, cover mobile games. It’s just part of our modus operandi, not out of disgust or distate towards mobile gaming, but simply out of preference. We rarely see a mobile release that truly piques our interest. Argonaut Games is better known as the studio that actually developed the original Star Fox for the Super Nintendo, as well as the creators of the legendary Super FX chip, but their development history in the 90s and early 2000s is a lot more interesting than merely gimmicky games on the SNES. Among their outings there’s Buck Bumble, Alien Resurrection (the FPS that popularized twin-stick controls before Halo), and most notably, Croc.
